Terms
Last updated: 30 May 2026
1. Scope and Acceptance
These Terms govern the purchase, activation and use of numbered digital keys within The Last Door on the Internet project available at lastdoorontheinternet.com.
By placing an order for one or more digital keys, the purchaser agrees to these Terms and acknowledges the nature of the Project as described below.
2. Operator
The Project is operated by:
Golden Nature Kereskedelmi és Szolgáltató Korlátolt Felelősségű Társaság
Short company name: Golden Nature Kft.
Further company and contact information is available on the Imprint page of this website.
Contact email: info@lastdoorontheinternet.com
3. The Project
The Last Door on the Internet is an online interactive mystery project consisting of:
- one locked digital Door;
- a strictly limited total of 100,000 numbered digital keys;
- one lock turned by each validly purchased and active digital key.
The Door remains locked unless and until all 100,000 active digital keys have been turned.
There is no promised date or guaranteed timeframe by which the Door will open. If fewer than 100,000 active digital keys are turned, the Door may remain locked indefinitely.
4. What the Purchaser Buys
Each purchase provides one or more numbered digital keys within the Project.
Each successfully activated key:
- receives a unique sequential key number;
- turns one lock of the Door;
- is recorded as an active key within the Project;
- may be associated with an individual digital key page made available by the operator.
The purchase is for digital participation only. No physical key, printed certificate, physical product or other tangible item is supplied.
A digital key does not provide ownership of the Project, any intellectual property, any revenue, any share in the operator or any financial entitlement.
5. Number and Equality of Keys
Only 100,000 digital keys may be active within the Project.
Every digital key has the same function and status. No key is premium, superior, more influential or entitled to any preferential treatment.
Key numbers indicate only the order in which valid digital keys were activated.
6. Price
The price of one digital key is exactly:
USD 10
The same unit price applies to every key.
There are no quantity discounts, promotional bundles, premium key prices, subscription charges or credit packages.
Where the operator is required to account for VAT or a similar indirect tax in connection with a consumer purchase, that applicable tax is included in the USD 10 price charged for one key.
The final total payable is displayed before the purchaser submits the order.
7. Purchase of More Than One Key
A purchaser may purchase more than one digital key.
If multiple keys are purchased in one order, the total price is calculated solely by multiplying the number of keys by USD 10.
For example:
- 1 key costs USD 10;
- 10 keys cost USD 100;
- 100 keys cost USD 1,000.
No purchaser receives any discount, special status, enhanced visibility, privileged access or additional right as a result of purchasing multiple keys.
Where multiple keys are successfully activated in one order, the operator may allocate consecutive available key numbers to that purchase.
The operator may impose a reasonable maximum number of keys per transaction for fraud prevention, technical security, payment processing or availability-control purposes.
8. Ordering and Payment
Orders may be placed through the purchasing process provided on this website.
Available payment methods may include payment services operated by third-party payment providers, including card-payment or digital-payment providers displayed during checkout.
An order becomes effective only after payment has been successfully confirmed by the applicable payment provider and accepted by the operator.
A key is not issued merely because a visitor begins checkout, enters payment details or submits an unsuccessful or unconfirmed payment attempt.
The operator may reject, suspend or cancel an order where reasonably necessary due to:
- failed, reversed or unconfirmed payment;
- suspected fraud or unauthorised payment activity;
- technical error;
- duplicate or abusive transaction activity;
- key availability limits;
- legal or regulatory obligations.
9. Activation and Key Number Allocation
Upon successful confirmation and acceptance of payment, the purchased digital key or keys will be activated without unnecessary delay.
Each activated key is assigned the next available sequential key number from the fixed range:
KEY #000001 – KEY #100000
The active-key counter displayed by the Project reflects active digital keys that have been successfully issued and have not been cancelled, refunded, reversed or otherwise invalidated in accordance with these Terms.
10. Digital Key Page
Following successful activation, the operator may make available an individual digital key page connected to each purchased key.
While the Door remains locked, a digital key page may display information including:
- the assigned key number;
- confirmation that the key has been turned;
- the number of keys remaining before the Door may open;
- optional public engraving information voluntarily supplied by the key holder;
- sharing features or links relating to the key.
A digital key page may be accessible through a public web link. Purchasers should not add public information that they do not wish others to see.
Before the Door opens, the operator is not required to provide a publicly searchable directory, list or gallery of all key holders or active keys.
11. Optional Engraving and Public Display
After a key has been activated, the purchaser may be offered the option to associate limited public information with that key, such as:
- a display name or nickname;
- a country voluntarily selected by the purchaser.
Providing public engraving information is optional.
Unless the purchaser voluntarily provides information for public display, the key may be displayed as belonging to an:
Anonymous Keyholder
The purchaser must not submit unlawful, misleading, defamatory, hateful, threatening, infringing, obscene or otherwise abusive public engraving information.
The operator may refuse, remove, edit for technical formatting purposes or anonymise any public engraving information that violates these Terms, applicable law or the legitimate safety and integrity of the Project.
The operator will not automatically display the purchaser’s payment details, billing details, legal name or private contact information as public key information.
12. The Door and Undisclosed Content
The content behind the Door is intentionally undisclosed while the Door remains locked.
The purchaser understands and accepts that:
- no advance disclosure is promised;
- no hint, preview or partial revelation is required before the Door opens;
- the purchaser is not buying a promised prize, product of specified value or particular form of revealed content;
- the subjective value, interest or enjoyment of any eventual revealed content is not guaranteed.
The purchase of a key is complete through the issuance and activation of the numbered digital key and the associated participation in turning one lock of the Door.
13. No Investment, Prize or Gambling
A key is not:
- an investment;
- a security or ownership share;
- a crowdfunding investment instrument;
- a deposit;
- a lottery ticket;
- a raffle entry;
- a gambling product;
- a promise of money, property, prize or financial return.
No purchaser is entitled to revenue, profit, dividends, ownership, repayment or compensation merely because the Door opens or because the purchaser owns one or more active digital keys.
14. Immediate Digital Performance and Consumer Withdrawal Rights
The nature of the Project requires each purchased digital key to be issued and turned digitally as soon as payment is successfully completed and accepted.
Where applicable consumer law provides a statutory withdrawal period, the purchaser will be asked during checkout to expressly request immediate digital performance and to acknowledge the legal consequences of receiving the digital key immediately.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any mandatory consumer right that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
If applicable law gives a purchaser a right of withdrawal, cancellation, refund, remedy or other mandatory protection despite immediate activation of a key, that mandatory right remains unaffected.
15. Refunds, Reversals and Invalidated Keys Before the Door Opens
Except where required by mandatory law or expressly accepted by the operator, a refund is not available merely because:
- the purchaser changes their mind after a key has been digitally activated;
- the Door has not yet opened;
- the purchaser no longer wishes to wait for the Door to open;
- the purchaser is dissatisfied with the continued secrecy of what is behind the Door.
Where a payment is refunded, reversed, charged back, cancelled or otherwise invalidated before the Door has opened, the related key or keys may be deactivated.
A deactivated key:
- no longer counts as an active turned key;
- may cause the active-key counter to decrease;
- may lose access to associated key-page functions;
- may become available for later purchase and activation by another purchaser.
The Door opens only on the basis of 100,000 valid and active keys.
16. Position After the Door Opens
Once the Door has opened following the valid activation of 100,000 active keys, the opening is final and the Door will not be required to close again because of a later refund, payment reversal, chargeback, data deletion request or similar event.
Following the opening of the Door, the operator may remove or anonymise optional public engraving information where required by law, requested in accordance with applicable data-protection rights or reasonably necessary to protect the integrity of the Project.
17. Technical Availability and Changes
The operator will take reasonable steps to operate and maintain the website and the Project.
Temporary interruption may occur due to maintenance, hosting issues, security incidents, payment-service interruptions, technical faults or circumstances outside the operator’s reasonable control.
The operator may make technical, security, accessibility or legal-compliance changes to the website or Project provided that such changes do not alter the fundamental principle that:
- there is one locked Door;
- only 100,000 active numbered digital keys exist;
- every key has equal function and status;
- the Door opens only after the final active key has been turned.
18. Intellectual Property
The website, Project name, visual design, Door imagery, interface, written content, software, graphics and other original materials made available by the operator are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Purchasing a key does not transfer ownership of any intellectual property.
A purchaser may share the public link to their digital key page and may share any officially provided share image or share function for personal, non-misleading purposes.
No person may reproduce, commercially exploit, imitate, manipulate or falsely represent the Project or its materials in a manner that infringes the operator’s rights or misleads others.
19. Personal Data
Personal data is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy published on this website.
Payment processing may be performed by independent third-party payment providers displayed during checkout. The operator does not publicly display private payment or billing information merely because a key is purchased.
20. Complaints and Contact
Questions, support requests and complaints relating to purchases or the Project may be sent to:
info@lastdoorontheinternet.com
The operator will endeavour to respond to written complaints within the period required by applicable law.
Consumers may also be entitled to refer a dispute to an applicable alternative dispute resolution or consumer conciliation body in accordance with the laws applicable to them.
For consumers residing or staying in Baranya, Somogy or Tolna County in Hungary, the competent regional conciliation body is:
Baranya Vármegyei Békéltető Testület
7625 Pécs, Majorossy Imre utca 36.
Hungary
Email: info@baranyabekeltetes.hu
21. Applicable Law and Mandatory Consumer Protection
These Terms and the Project are governed by Hungarian law, without depriving consumers of any mandatory protection afforded to them by the law of their country of habitual residence where such protection applies.
Nothing in these Terms restricts any mandatory statutory consumer remedy, data-protection right or other right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
22. Amendments to These Terms
The operator may amend these Terms where necessary for legal, technical, security, payment-processing or operational reasons.
The version of the Terms applicable to a purchase is the version made available to the purchaser at the time the order is submitted, except where a later change is required by mandatory law or benefits the purchaser.
The current version will be published on this website together with its effective date.
